Every request passes through governance gates before routing: cost validation (prevents budget waste), energy/carbon assessment (routes to cleanest grid available), security enforcement (OPA policies block unauthorized access), and compliance validation (NERC CIP for energy sector, data residency for regulated industries). Requests that pass all gates are routed to the optimal provider in real time. Requests that fail are blocked instantly—no token wasted, no infrastructure touched. Full audit trail captures every decision.

Energy-Aware Routing

Grid-intelligent optimization for energy sector

Dali routes inference dynamically based on real-time grid intensity, provider availability, and cost constraints. When the grid is powered by clean energy (solar, wind), workloads route to that region. When grid carbon intensity rises, workloads shift to cleaner providers or queue. For energy sector operations, this means: lower carbon emissions per token, reduced peak demand on dirty grid periods, compliance with carbon reporting mandates. Routing happens every 5 minutes as grid conditions change—not a batch decision, a real-time one.

Audit & Observability

Per-request visibility, NERC CIP ready

Every inference generates an immutable audit record: which provider served it, how much energy it consumed, its carbon impact (in grams), cost, latency, and which governance policies it passed. Finance tracks spend. Energy teams track carbon emissions. Security teams audit policy decisions. Compliance teams validate NERC CIP enforcement. All teams read from one source of truth. Records are retention-compliant for regulatory submission (7+ years for energy sector).
